I’m Stefano. I work as an applied scientist, which mostly means I get paid to figure out how things work and sometimes make them work better.

I got online in the late 90s as a curious kid and drifted straight into the nerdier, more underground corners of the internet — IRC channels, tinkering with code and hardware, taking apart anything I could without breaking it too badly. That’s where I picked up the habit of figuring things out myself instead of waiting for someone to explain them.

These days my free time goes to AI, robotics, electronics, and astrophotography — pointing a telescope at something very far away and leaving the shutter open for a while. This site is where I put all of it once it’s out of my head.
