The Grind Continues

Posted in MMORPG with tags , on December 19, 2012 by theerivs

Hollie%20GrindingSo I’m working on my Warrior, and people are giving me tips like I should level crafting. Here’s the issue….I love money….and crafting costs money. I’m nearing my first gold, and I’ll need that to upgrade my skills. Some other people tell me map completion is the way to go, I don’t have the patience, or the OCD to do that. Some of these places are hard to find, or my Mario jumping skills are not what they use to be looking for vistas. So I really don’t want to do that either. So being the cheap impatient ho that I am, I’m finding other ways to gain xp fast…like WvW

This is an awesome way to level, when things are going good it’s awesome…when it’s not going good…well it plan sucks salty donkey balls. Like I spent an hour one night, and my xp hardly moved, then last night I gained a level in like 10 minutes. WvW is a great filler for the grind though I must say.

Well I’m having fun, there is so much to still check out, and I can’t wait until I can hit some dungeons.

I Can Only Handle One at a Time

80918063It seems like I can’t take on more then 1 mob at a time in GW2. When fighting one on one I’m fine as a warrior, but it seems when I’m facing more then one opponent. It a challenge to stay alive. Am I doing something wrong, do I need better armor. I have the top healing skill. I mean is my survivalbilty that bad when I have 3 mobs on my I’m just screwed. Though I’m happy with one mob at a time, sometimes mobs jump me, and I’m forced to take them on.

Beside survival issues with my warrior. I’m enjoying the game, everyday I’m learning something new, and duel axes is a beast. I can’t wait to head into PvP.  I want to get into the economy more, instead of just vendoring all the stuff I need. I’ve been selling it at auction.

Old School Warrior

My first toon I got to 60 in Vanilla was my warrior. An Orc named Rivgorian. Yeah all my toons mostly have Riv in it somewhere…Piss off wanker. Anywho I was usually mostly the offtank, cause no one took me as serious to be raiding main tank. Plus raiding was serious business back in the 40 man days.

I do admit I fooled around too much, I remember I would PvP as Prot with LightForge Shoulders on, and tell people I’m a new Orc Pally. I remember my first Epic One hander, the Axe of Deep Woods. I remember almost busting a nut in my pants when I got the Skullflame Shield. Ya know the shield that had flames shooting out of it. The coolest shield in the game EVER! I use to scream, “Wait 3 Sunders!’, like I was screaming out a chicks name during sex.

I did manage to main tank alot of content, cause well main tanks got burnt out, so I moved up the ranks. When my guild broke up, I went to magery for a year. Then came back in BC as a tank once more.

As an Orc Warrior I tanked  from Aran to Void Reaver, and everything in between. Eventually I got burnt out as well. I shelfed the Warrior. I miss the guy. I tried Pally Tanking, and though awesome…it doesn’t have the same feel to it.

So in Cataclysm I decided to go back to my Warrior roots, start fresh, plus every guild needs a main tank, why not be the one for the guild I’m going to help create.

As a Warrior Tank one place helped immensely time after time. And that Tankingtips with Vere, as a mage I didn’t visit him as much in recent times, but when I heard he’s calling it quits it was sad news indeed. Thanks for everything and good luck with your future endeavors…any last bit warrior tips?
