There are times though I really miss my mage. We had alot of adventures together. He’s like an old friend that I use to pal around together.  As I think back to my mage, there are some things I just truly miss.

Some things I miss….

5. Blinking the hell out of there – As a mage sometimes you get a little overrunned by the mobs. Running away is a strategy to a mage, and nothing like running and blinking the hell out of a situation, toss in a good frost nova and I would laugh my arse off as I ran.

4. Invisibility -  I loved it when everyone else wiped, and I’d sit there and wait for them to come back, cause I hit Invisible at the right time when we wiped.

3. Blizzard – I love all the huge numbers that would be flying by when I would open up a can of whoop-ass.

2. Teleports – Man, making gold off them, tricking people with them, heck sometimes I would just teleport cause I was bored.

1. Slowfall – When life would get me down, or I was bored I would climb to the highest points in Azeroth, jump off and just slowfall down, and watch the world go. It was very Zen, and it put me in a better state of mind.

So those are the reasons I miss the mage….

…that and my mage would eat babies….mofoes!

Like a good Beta Hooker that I am, I’ve had plenty of John’s like Bioware, I’ve been in the sack with Blizzard too, as well as a multitude of other game companies. Sometimes I been in the middle of a Beta Bukkake, as I beta test several games at the same time, all of them spewing forth their buggy goodness onto my face.

GW2 looks hot, and ever since talk began swirling about it there has been an unquenchable burning in my loins. I want to be a part of the hot, sticky, adventure and feel the ups, and downs of this beta, thrusting my opinions deep into the recesses of the developers minds.

I can’t wait to hear from you Arenanet, until then I’ll just slowly eat these bananas, carrots, and popsicles I have here.

So why am I here….why do I waste my time, and possibly yours. I think it’s time for a list, cause the Internet loves a list.

1. It’s a hobby – People don’t build models of airplanes because they are going to show them off in competition with each other for the most part. People build model airplanes to reduce stress, to take a step back from life, and do something they enjoy.  I don’t take this overtly serious, it’s just something I do when I have time.

2. I enjoy writing – Even though I suck at it,  I enjoy doing it. I like to play chess too, and I suck at that as well. It takes me about 10 minutes to write a post, just imagine if I actually put effort into this.

3. Part of something – Even though I am a small shadowy corner of the blogosphere, I feel I am a part of it.

4. Camaraderie – I feel without blogging, I wouldn’t of met so many interesting people, and keep meeting them.

5. Bad Boy – I got this reputation among the blogosphere as a little bit rough around the edges bad boy, and I feel I have a niche to fill. Way to many good guys out there, someone has to be an asshole, and I am that man.

I’m shocked at myself, but I came to the conclusion there is a difference between being evil, and being a lunatic, you need to know who to kill, and who will prove useful. That there is a difference between garnering power, and just being a psychopath cutting a swath through the galaxy, and leaving a pile of bodies in your wake.  

This game continues to make me think about my choices, and some of them turn me on my head, and really make me think. It reminds me of those old “choose your own adventure books” where if I choose A, instead of B, it would of lead me down a different path, one that I may not like, or one that is really awesome.

The Republic troops who helped me, in my infinite mercy I let them live for their help with Rathari, and making me rethink what it means to be evil. Perhaps this is a new leaf for me, where I make better choices not just because I get dark side points, but because it’s more evil to pursue power, then it is to pursue lunacy.

On the other hand the aliens protecting the Revan’s Infinite Engine, all of them had to die they were hideous looking, and smung bantha poodoo…Ok maybe I am a psychopath.

The Culling

The Honor Roll – I created a section for those Blogs that mean alot to me, or the people who write them mean alot to me. Don’t feel bad if you are not on it, it doesn’t mean I don’t like you. It’s just the people here on this have gone a bit over and beyond the normal blogging way of things.  There are some tough decisions here, like Cranky’s Star Wars Blog, and Markco’s Gold Blog should be on the Honor Roll, but I thought Cranky needs exposure as a SW blog, and Markco is in business to make gold. I thought these two were best suited to stay in topic they belong  for the best exposure.

The Graveyard – There are those blogs who will forever remain in my heart, but they are no longer around. This is where I will honor them.

Seriously though I really love the inclusion of story, and the way quests are handled here, but the true test of a game is as we all know is end game. Though I have a long time to get there, will this game have the same appeal 3 years from now as it does now?  Is this the extended version of Tortage that was in AoC.

I’m starting to worry about tanking skills in this game, I really haven’t done any instances, but if I can’t keep aggro off my companion we may have a problem. Maybe I’ll do a couple lower level flashpoints just to give it a shot. This is what I hate about new games, I have to find most of this crap out for myself.

But for now, I’m enjoying the game and enjoying being the murderous bastard I always wanted to be, and screwing more Sith then Obi-wan.
