First Step
The First Step in any recovery program is admitting you have a problem. Though I was loathe to get Diablo 3, I admit I was wrong. I’m hopelessly addicted to this game. Blizzard has done it again.
It appeals to alot of what I use to like about video games, the exploration, the story, the customization, the rewards. It takes me back to the good ole days of video gaming with much better graphics, and music.
I’ve been playing the wizard, and it was a rocky start but now I’m getting better hang of it, and I’m just ripping shit up, and leaving corpse piles around. I even got brave and started a hardcore barbarian.
I don’t know what it is, but I think it’s something primal like a rat, hitting a button to get fed. I just want to sit there and click, and click, and click until I get new sparklies, or powers.
It’s a great distraction until the next MMO, but I feel sad for my SWTOR toons, their getting the shaft.

It’s very hard to put down. There’s always something just at the edge of the explored map, just around the corner, another piece of glitter and gold to pick up. And the amount of destruction you can wreak as you level is just amusing. I’ll swing at a barrel and destroy the wagon sitting behind it, shards of wood and wheel spokes flying everywhere. *giggles maniacally*
